Emotional Wellbeing Solutions
Emotional Wellbeing Solutions at Baylor University, supported by Optum Health beginning December 1, 2023, is a confidential information and counseling service provided as a benefit to you and your household members at no extra cost to eligible Baylor faculty and staff. Baylor University provides full time faculty and staff (and their household family members) with this EWS to support their personal and professional life.
- Up to 5 sessions with a counselor either one-on-one, in person or virtually
- Unlimited telephonic access to master's-level counselors
- Legal and financial support
- Parenting and childcare support
- Information on caring for an elder dependent

Available to members of the Baylor University Medical Insurance Plan (UMR).
PPO members will incur the following fees for Mental Health:
- $30 for a Licensed Therapist
- $30 for an initial visit with a Psychiatrist
- $30 for ongoing visits with a Psychiatrist
HDHP members pay the full cost of the visits (listed below) until they meet their deductible. After the deductible is met, members are responsible for 20% of the full cost of the visit until maximum out-of-pocket is reached.
- Psychiatrist Initial Visit: $235
- Psychiatrist Ongoing Visit(s): $105
- Non-Psychiatrist Visit(s): $95
SUREST members will pay the following:
- Virtual Mental Health (In-Network Only): $10 to $40

Mental Health First Aid Training for Faculty and Staff
This skills-based training course teaches Faculty and Staff about mental health and substance-use issues. Participants will learn how to Identify, Understand, and Respond. This is CPR for mental health and substance-use. Enroll in this free training program through Ignite.
